Traditional Pond
Our Black Tiger (Penaeus monodon) comes from a traditional pond. Traditional ponds are the ponds that have irregular shapes and sizes, mostly 1.5 ha and bigger, with a peripheral ditch or canal of 4–10 m wide and 40–80 cm deep. The pond bottom may not be properly leveled. Ponds are normally filled with gravity flow water during the high tide period with natural feeds and left for 60-90 days without additional seed stocking and feeding. Stocking density in this type of culture is 0.5-5.0 pcs/m2. These ponds are normally partially harvested using the simple traditional method. Net catcher mounted on the pond's water that let the water flow out of the pond utilizing tidal currents.
Intensive Pond
Our Vannamei shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) comes from an intensive pond. The ponds are usually of 0.5–1 ha in size and are designed to keep the water at 1.5–2.0 m deep. High stocking density of 25-60 PL/m2 with feeding rate of 4-6 times daily and strong aeration is maintained. Farmers use commercial pellet feed; feeding is done either manually or via an automated system. Vannamei shrimp is the type of all-year-long harvest shrimp without specific any season.
Wild Catch
Besides traditional and intensive ponds, we also provide Sea-caught shrimp such as Pink shrimp (Metapenaeus Endeavouri) and White shrimp (Penaeus Indicus). Wild catch shrimp are shrimp that have been caught on boats by fishermen from a natural ocean habitat. There is seasonal harvest every year. Thus, the quantity and size depend on the season.
